Walimu wanashajihishwa na kuhimizwa kusisitiza umuhimu wa teknolojia katika ufundishaji na ujifunzaji kwa sababu, kama inavyojulikana, imechukua sehemu kubwa katika maisha ya kisasa. VLE ilitengenezwa ili kuwasaidia walimu kujumusiha teknolojia katika kuandaa masomo na kujifunza kwa wanafunzi. Lengo la msingi la VLE ni kuwapa walimu zana zinazofanya kazi na teknolojia ya sasa ili kurahisisha mchakato wa ufundishaji na ujifunzaji. Zaidi ya hayo, walimu katika masomo sita ya Hisabati, Kemia, Fizikia, Biolojia, Kiingereza na Jiografia watapata nyenzo muhimu za mtandaoni kwa wanafunzi wa kidato cha 1 na cha 2. Jukwaa hili litawawezesha walimu kutengeneza maswali na kutathmini wanafunzi wao kwa kutumia mbinu inayozingatia umahiri. Welcome to the Zanzibar Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). This platform has been designed with teachers in mind, and teachers are urged to stress the importance of technology in both teaching and learning because, as is well known, it plays a significant role in modern life. This VLE was developed to help teachers incorporate ICT into their lessons and learners’ learning. A VLE’s primary goal is to provide teachers with tools that work with current technology to simplify the teaching and learning process. Additionally, teachers in the six subjects of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English, and Geography will have access to useful online resources for Form 1 and Form 2 learners. Note that all the resources in the VLE are openly licensed or are 'free-to-use'. Most have a Creative Commons (CC) licence. Teachers and learners can access, download and, in most instances, adapt the resources as they see fit. They do not have to ask for permission, incur any costs or pay a subscription. |
